Challenge: Revamp a website that was outdated and had been cobbled together over the years with inconsistent, chaotic sections that caused high abandonment rates among visitors.

Solution: The Rochester Red Cross is in the news nearly every day as a first reponder when disaster strikes, both in Rochester and nationally. This created an opportunity to make their website a dynamic, timely portal for disaster information. Their new site's home page showcases current stories in a news-like format that links visitors to media coverage and provides an instant way to donate to specific disaster relief efforts.
Designed using a flexible six-column grid as a backdrop, the site now uses a clean, simple tab navigation that makes it easy for visitors to go find the most important information faster - from how to volunteer, to online safety course registration. Each section maintains a consistent format, as well as relevant hot-linked cross-references within to connect people to other sections most likely to be of interest them.
Fire & Ice Ball
Challenge: Attract major supporters to attend the Red Cross Fire & Ice Ball each fall in Rochester. Inspire them to get into the spirit of each new annual theme.
Solution: A marketing campaign that surrounded the audience with all the campy humor of the event. A recent year, that was The Big Luau, and our direct marketing and signage offered attendees a tongue-in-cheek checklist of fashion do's and don'ts.
